Nowadays, 3D Printing(DMLS) with conformal cooling technology is widely used in our injection tooling at BSK. 

For some products with short cycle requirements and high requirement of deflection, we make inserts in some areas that are difficult to cool and design conformal cooling in the inserts. The inserts are manufactured by DMLS, which can significantly shorten the injection molding time. molding cycle and reduce product deformation, thereby reducing production costs and improving product quality.

3D Printing(DMLS) machining range is around 270*270*360mm. The hybrid approach can saves costs of tooling insert. Metal 3D printing material only could be 1.2709 48-52HRC, the minimum distance between conformal cooling to steel is 2mm.
